The contest is now closed...and unfortunately no one even entered. A bust to the website per se and a lost opportunity for fans.
Want to flex your muscle? Join the Chiller Instinct contest to examine who the fans think is Hockey's Toughest Player. Chiller Instinct is awarding one (1) 'Big League Manager' board game to the winner, so get your votes in and tell your friends. We are requesting three selections maximum per voter. It is entirely the fan who determines. Consider a player such as Gary Roberts, who is now a strength and endurance coach in the league immediately after his playing days ended (to the delight of many a bruised defenseman). Of course, we want a current player, but keep in mind all the aspects. Do the more one-dimensional players such as Harvard graduate George 'el mustachio' Parros, Derek Boogaard, Riley Cote, Raittis Ivanans, or George 'the legume assasin' Laraque garner your votes? They are tough...but does an everyday player such as Milan Lucic get the nod because of his hands? The legends of Gordie Howe, Eddie Shore, and Maurice 'The Rocket' Richard can enlighten us. Richard was reputed to have moved all day (including a piano) and then show up at the rink and score five goals for les Habitants. Zdeno Chara, Dustin Brown, and Ryan Smyth may be your guy. Recent events may have Hayley Wickenheiser in the running; it needn't be a National Hockey League player per se. The image of Jarome Iginla and Vincent Lecavalier in the Stanley Cup Finals left an indelible impression and the brand of sandpaper that Chris Pronger takes out of his bag every night must enter into the equation. But, it is YOU, the fan that will determine the outcome. So let us know fans...who is the toughest player? Listen to the latest Chiller Instinct Report, in which I discuss this very contest. Show your love on the Chiller Instinct Facebook profile.
The contest is guided by, but not limited to the following basic guidelines: CI will award one (1) copy of the board game 'Big League Manager' by BLM Games to a participant who: *humour WILL be entertained, but keep in mind, ALL votes for Sean Avery should be dismissed, or placed with less than IHL, MHL, and KHL players' value.
