NEW ARTICLE AND INTERVIEW THIS WEEKEND...KEEP TUNED IN Proving that he can still shine, San Jose netminder Evgeni Nabokov proved in November that the Sharks are not only about scoring goals. Thus, Chiller Instinct has named Nabby the Primetime Player of the Month, November 2009.
Team-mate Joe Thornton (October 2009's winner) was in consideration for a repeat, with one First Star nod and three Third Star nominations, while San Jose defenseman Dan Boyle had a strong month as well (a First, Second, and Third Star) to give the Sharks three of the top primetime players. Sidney Crosby and Johan Hedberg were also instrumental to their team's success most nights. This propelled the Sharks into top spot on the first ever team watch...something CI will tally from here on towards the hoisting of the Stanley Cup. San Jose players accounted for 41 total points, the New Jersey Devils racked up 39 total points, and the Pittsburgh Penguins 35. Interestingly, the low point total was registered by the Philadelphia Flyers, just 8. See all of the tallies and scores HERE.
